This is an hour practice of Ashtanga Flow Yoga.  Starting with Sun Salutations, the dynamic standing poses and the seated postures are offered in a traditional style, but modified for time, and geared to all levels. The room is warm and you can prepare to have an athletic practice known as vinyasa, movement connected to breath.

Ashtanga Yoga is a vigorous, flowing (vinyasa style) practice. While not a more advanced style of yoga, it often draws those looking for a more physically challenging pace. Ashtanga connects movement with breath in a series of postures done with calm focused attention for strength, flexibility, and a quiet mind.  In our Ashtanga classes, we explore the methodology's traditional sequence,  offered in an accessible way for all. 

When we say "Heartsong Yoga Style,"  we mean that there is no "one way" or "only way" to do this practice, and while we stay true to the essence of the tradition, we make room for every-body by offering options, choices, and modifications along the way!
