Thursday night concert: Savor a night of interactive, soul-stirring chant music with Seán Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band. Experience heart-expanding ancient mantras, given a new voice through dynamic songs that merge conscious lyrics and New Orleans roots, rock, gospel, and world grooves. The band includes Seán (vocals and harmonium); Alvin Young (6-string fretless bass & guitar); Gwendolyn Colman (percussion & vocals); and Narada Wise (drums) We had such a wonderful time last year, we are thrilled to bring them back to Heartsong (at the UUC)

Friday Morning's Practicing From The Heart - Live Music Flow: All Levels Bhakti Yoga Workshop Class at the UUC, 9 - 10:30 am. 

All-levels asana practice Taught by Seán Johnson and accompanied live by The Wild Lotus Band, this special Bhakti Yoga workshop-style class will explore ways to cultivate more depth, imagination, and feeling in our life and yoga practice through a Bhakti-inspired journey integrating chanting, poetic language, and self-inquiry.  
Bhakti is a Sanskrit word and a path of yoga that points to the universal human experience of connecting to the mystery of life through the depths of the heart. Many of Bhakti's practices are devotional folk arts like singing, dancing, storytelling, poetry, and rituals accessible to all.
